Nie Fuqiang, chairman of Beijing Huakairui Microfluidic Chip Technology Co., Ltd: Nie holds a MS degree in Composite Materials from Jinan University and a Ph. D. from Zhejiang University. He worked in Tokyo Women's Medical University as a special researcher, where he made many innovative achievements in the research of microfluidic chip analysis technology. In 2009, he founded Beijing Huakairui Microfluidic Chip Technology Co., Ltd in 2009 and is currently the chairman of the firm. In 2012, the company filed for 16 world's top core technologies on microfluidic chip, accounting for 45 percent of the total patents in related industry patents in China. Microfluidic chip analysis technique (Microfluidics) refers to that the whole analysis process of sample preparation, reaction, separation, detection and other basic operation unit in the fields of biology, chemistry, medicine is automatically completed by a small chip of several square centimeters with microchannel, micrometer scale and microstructures. With the breakthroughs in materials science, micro nano fabrication technology and microelectronics, microfluidic chip analysis technology is developing rapidly, and has been widely applied in many fields.
